Hey, does anybody have advice on getting back into the gym again post injury? I broke my arm in two places at the end of February had surgery first week of March and now have two metal plates in my arm. I’m just now getting back in the gym.

Start super slow. Even if your muscles can keep up, your tendons and stuff are also weak(probably more so) but take more time to heal since they get less blood flow. Peak reinjury time is going to hard to soon

I also put on a bunch of weight during this time because I couldn’t be very active. So I feel like all my progress went down the drain. I need to start a cut again.

I’d prolly say, start slow till you can find your groove back

I had a full ankle reconstruction last year that also caused me to gain a TON of weight quickly. When my surgeon allowed me to lift again (no more that 30 lbs 2wks post op-6 wks post op) i just started my regular lifts but weight low enough to get perfect form but not struggle bc i wasnt allowed to. I did more reps though and kept consistent in biking. I also went on a v strict cut. But if you stay consistent in cardio, eat clean, and slowly allow yourself to lift again you *should* be able to

Ease back into your regular quicker. Just give yourself a ton of grace in it too. Surgery sucks and will take months of getting used to and creating mods for yourself. You can so do this though!!
