If I start working out now, by when could I expect other people to notice? It wouldn’t be losing weight, I’m really skinny, I want to put on muscle. Also I’m a girl of that impacts it

It really just depends on your routine, diet, and genetics. There’s no one set timeline for anyone. Some people gain noticeable muscle in just a month, others it takes multiple months to make a real impact on their physique.

I agree with #1. For additional context, a woman with average genetics might gain around 10 pounds of muscle in her first year of lifting.

Prolly like a year assuming you have average genetics and aren't living like a bodybuilder from day 1. But when I say notice I mean people who know you will see those changes, it takes much longer for strangers to be able to tell

Honestly it’ll take a min, as a girl who lifts I didn’t see difference until maybe 8 months to a year.

Yup! Also keep in mind as women we generally have a lot less testosterone, which of course determines how much muscle you can put on. So a man doing the same lifting routine, diet, etc. as a woman is naturally going to gain more muscle at a faster pace than a woman. And unfortunately our menstrual cycles impact performance as well :,)
