Endurance training gives me very bad digestive issues, does anyone know how to fix this? Like 2hr+ runs/biking

the only way to help it is to cut back. we arent built to run for that long

I’m not a runner but my partner is, and unfortunately I think it just comes with the territory. There’s some scientific explanation for it that I can’t elaborate on myself but it messes with your stomach both by severely reducing feelings of hunger (even when you objectively need to eat) and causing bowel movements

I think they say that protein/fiber is really hard to digest, and if you’re dehydrated it just makes it worse. Maybe I need more carbs less protein, over a longer time? (Like snacks not meals) Idk.

We most definitely were built for endurance running Maybe not like 100milers, but marathons yes
