Btw the "1g of protein per pound of bw" only applies if you're lean. If you have an excess of fat, don't worry about choking down protein, you only need to eat enough for your skeletal muscle mass.

please don’t listen to this guys. If your goal is fat loss, prioritize protein. For so many reasons but primarily due to the body burning the most calories while digesting protein(opposed to carbs/fat) and that protein supports gaining of muscle mass which will increase your metabolic rate. 1g of protein per pound is huge. Only exception is if you’re very overweight, in that case .8-1 per pound is fine

Being severely overweight is by definition having an excess of fat, arguing semantics in an attempt to seem intelligent is just embarrassing
