Thanks for your guys’s support yesterday! My free fitness app, Maxlyft, got 65 new downloads yesterday! It’s been built to be completely free and extremely in depth! I’d really appreciate anyone who left a review to help me grow and shared it with ppl!

how are you supposed to make money then, ad revenue?

Downloaded it, and honestly, about as nice of a workout tracking app as I’ve encountered, and easily the best free one. Only thing I’d critique is that I have to log some fake exercise on my rest days to keep my streak, which is annoying

What’s your revenue model? Your response to the other guy don’t make sense

Eventually there’s going to be a 5th page of the app that is like a community circle for each gym that gyms and locations will pay for to get analytics, white labeled app, perks for their communities, affiliate revenue etc, but that’s down the road

Interesting, do you think that having tailored gym communities for specific locations would upset those gyms, or is the plan to field partnerships with said locations?

I appreciate the feedback and yeah I did notice the streak system is kinda iffy at the moment. I’d really appreciate a review if you’d leave one tho! It helps and I’m always fixing things. The goal is to just get it out in the world because for how much it does and it being free it’s extremely competitive imo (I’m obviously biased)

If you have ideas on how to combat the streak issue I’m always open to ideas!!

make it so you only lose your streak after two straight days of inactivity

Good idea. This will actually be easy to do. Next update I’ll roll this out and see how it plays out!

It’s a just a software company essentially to allow for gym management and operations

How are you going to monetize it?

It’s a paid software for gyms. Just subscriptions

I think what they should do is create a tier of membership that is a paid feature that allows more advanced data analytics on your workouts. Perhaps macro scale information on total sets, workout duration and frequency, progression in each muscle group, etc. It could also unlock an AI chat bot to converse about routine, training, supplements, and nutrition. Just some thoughts.

Yes but the whole point is that all the app features are 100% free to provide more value and monetization comes from the software business side that’s B2B. This sets it apart from other apps that are the “freemium” model, and instead with Maxlyft, the user gets unlimited analytics for free

I see, definitely more difficult up front but perhaps more sustainable long term. Will take a while to build that brand significance to get good partnerships
