Some downsides, cereal processes quickly in your stomach so you don’t feel full for very long. Special k has seed oils as well and eating late at night can affect your sleep schedule because your body is digesting the food

I know many people are concerned with seed oils, I am not really concerned with it. I won’t go about of way to avoid them. Consuming tons of any kind of oil is bad, I feel like seed oils are just the latest “evil” ingredient to avoid. I don’t really feel the need to check my food for it because the large majority of my diet is basic and unprocessed. Basic and unprocessed takes care of 99% of diet problems.

There are likely some flavors of special k that do use seed oils, i eat Original style, which as far as i can tell according to the nutrition label, has zero seed oils

Eating at night does indeed affect your sleep, this is true. I had the cereal a little over four hours before I slept, and like you said, cereal processes very quickly, which is why it’s one of my go-to before bed meals. I can eat plenty of it, it will digest quickly, and I can sleep without issue and wake up feeling hungry

Thank you for caring enough to bring these potential downsides to my attention. :)
