Something else to consider: for some women, it is a major victory to gain the confidence to wear a sports bra in a public space, they do it as a celebration of learning to love their bodies

Not tryna be an instigator but my problem is with people actively trying to show as much skin as possible, sports bra is cool if it fits the occasion, but many people feel it necessary to try and wear smaller and smaller clothes and that’s where I have my discrepancy, not hate just explaining my point of view. Have a great day.

I think it’s inappropriate to walk around in your underwear. A sports bra is still a bra and I don’t really want to have to look at it

Ok but even then, why would anyone let that bother them so much? Like, I genuinely can’t fathom caring enough about how someone I don’t know is dressed in a public gym that it would even register in my mind. Just lift and do your thing. If someone wants to dress like that, go ahead, I do not care.

Just don’t walk around the gym in underwear, it’s a public space not your living room

1. If you think a sports bra is the same thing as a regular bra, you either don’t have eyes, or have never seen a woman in her bra (which I don’t doubt) 2. It’s athletic wear, and the gym allows it. If you don’t like the rules of the gym, you’re welcome to not go to the gym.

how much skin is too much? everyone draws that line in a different place. the rules of your gym just draw that line further than you do.

I mean as a women, I think that even though a sports bra is more covering then a regular bra and it different in similar enough, I think it’s fair enough for gyms to expects tank tops. Also it’s a private business so like what ever rules they make are just their rules. I have a problem is small chested women can wear sports bras while larger can’t .

gyms DON'T expect women to wear shirts, usually. obviously no one should be violating the rules but if the gym allows it i don't see a problem

So for my context all the gyms I go to do expect them to.

okay then they should wear them at those gyms. but wearing only a sports bra is not indecent or inappropriate or immodest, and if a gym permits it no one should be mad
