Can a gym bro pls explain gym science to me??? Because I started going on 20 minute interval sprint walks every day (2 min walk, 1 min sprint for 20min) and I went from 172lbs to 177lbs and I somehow got visible abs but I’m wondering if I’ll lose weight

1). Muscle is denser than fat, so weight might go up and fat percentage might go down 2). If you’re eating right and drinking water, you *could* also be retaining water weight and just have more food in your body which will also lead to a weight increase without a real visible difference TLDR: you might be gaining weight, but losing fat, which is the real important part of

And one more thing, weight can fluctuate pretty high depending on time of day, for most accurate results, I normally weigh myself in the morning after using the bathroom and before eating to reduce that impact

Also, sodium intake can influence the amount of water your body is holding on to, so if you like salty foods, your body wants to hold more water to balance it out. Just wanted to add on to your water tidbit
