Im curious what people who train legs do for hip adductions, do yall skip it entirely? Im a smaller guy (160 lbs) and Ive hit legs maybe 20 times in my life just because I choose to skip it and I max out the hip adduction machine in all the gyms I go to

The cable machines are great but they as you’ve found can be easy to max and really don’t train the add and abductors to properly stabilized, single leg lift and lateral lung lifts can keep building those muscle and you’ll feel great. They will humble you first tho

Go super slow and hold for like 3 seconds at the open. leaning forward vs back also hits different muscles so play around a bit

Try leaning forward or back on it different than what you have been doing. Make sure you go slow. Lifting super fast doesn't build muscle so much as it just depends on a burst of energy to do most of the work. I'd still maxed then try using the cable for it while standing

If you’re sitting all the way back in the seat, I promise you won’t be maxing it
