you cant spot reduce fat. Eat less to lose fat and do stable loaded spinal flexion to build your abdominal muscles.

If you are trying to lose fat then calorie deficits and walking to burn cals is a good method

I mostly focus on strength training. Generally strength and muscle mass are directly linked, so more strength means more muscle. More muscle means more mass, which means more body heat, which means more energy leaving my body. In short, the stronger you get the faster you burn calories passively. Cardio is nice for cutting an extra hundred or two calories here and there, but your metabolism burns 85-95% of your calories passively so to me it makes sense to focus on maxing that out first.

Burning belly fat comes from being in a calorie deficit, you can't target where you lose fat. All hitting core is gonna do is make the muscles in that area bigger. If you wanna lose the fat you need to eat less calories than you burn.

When you say side crunch you mean leaning my legs one side then doing crunches right?

standing upright, hold the weight at the side by your legs, then bend your body on its side and point your head 90 degrees
