I grab the pull up bar, then straightish legs/feet to hands and try to slowly lower my legs back down for sets of 3-15 (depending how slow I lower my legs) But you def feel the burn and see the results in your lower abs.

Gonna be difficult to lose enough fat to make them more visible than that so good luck

Don’t worry too much about upper vs lower abs. Both only cross 1 joint and are responsible for back flexion, so you can’t bias one or the other.

Yea lower abs are a little harder because of female anatomy but I’m not too hung up on it

An important caveat is that this is primarily a hip flexor movement, the legs moving relative to the hips. It's only in the top portion of the movement when the hips naturally move relative to your upper body that the upper abs are being used. So a common cue is to lift your butt up instead of your legs

Yes. This exactly. Hence my focus on keeping my legs as straight as I can each movement. Keeping them completely locked out decreases blood flow but pushing up with glute muscles helps keep the balance through the motion. I should have mentioned I find keeping my elbows bent near 90 helps that way I'm weighted more on abs than shoulders.

So rather than kicking my legs up. I kind of thrust up?

Feeling the burn isn’t an indicator of growth stimulus
