Being consistent in the gym is so much easier when you realize the hardest part is literally just getting up and going in the first place

This plus taking like a few extra minutes to make yourself quality healthy food. Like wym outta 16 hour day, all it’s gonna take is 2.5-3 hours tops to get healthy?

once that routine is solidified and u really realize it’s more eating than anything it becomes easier.

Honestly so true, I meal prep at the beginning of the week so I don’t have to worry about it

How do you get over lack of confidence that’s impacting consistency? I know no one is looking/caring what I’m doing but that doesn’t change my internal feeling that I know is holding me back :/

In my 7 years of consistent experience. I’ve found the only method that truly works for the gym is finding a way to have fun with it. Whether that’s exploring different exercises, making friends, or diving into the community. If you’re not enjoying it you’re not gonna stick to it.

I go as soon as I wake up just to get it out of the way and go on with my day. I don’t track my macros anymore so I just make sure I’m eating as much protein as I can with every meal

Yess and I hate that I waited this long to realize this. I would always use the simplest excuses to cope and delay myself. I had to hit rock bottom to really change

Even just putting in a photo of yourself and saying “Give me an honest no fluff assessment of my physique, it’s strong and weak points, and what I can do to correct those” and it’s really thorough

It’s all mindset, once too get into a nice routine going, dont stop. When you have those thoughts of people looking at you, try to acknowledge it and then redirect your focus cuz even if you or others think the workout is silly, its doing nothing but making you healthier regardless. Lastly, remember to take it one day at a time. Everything you do at the gym is for your own health. And something I keep telling myself to keep going is “My old man self is going to love me for all of this.”

i had this concern when i first started + just reminding myself that everyone around me has things they’re dealing with and NO ONE is checking for me. just solidifying a routine, having a TOP TIER playlist and remembering your purpose whenever that feeling creeps in. + toxic motivation!
