I know this doesn’t mean much for others, but I ran a minute and 10 seconds straight😝😝😝

I’m a long distance runner—this will turn into 1:20 straight, then 1:30, then 1:40, then before you know it you’ll be going for hours at a time. Good luck soldier 🫡

I used to be like you, you’re just running to fast! Slow down lol and you’ll hit an easy ten minute run

Dude that’s awesome. Everyone starts somewhere and most people don’t start. So don’t take anything you do for granted because you started

That’s awesome, congrats! I will say, just remember that the only person you should be comparing yourself to is the person you were yesterday. If you’re better than that, amazing! Strive to better yourself at the comparison of the past you, not others today

I grew up playing a sport, but I always hated running. Running as an adult, I can run longer straight *happily* and comfortably now than at any point during my childhood. keep running! you're amazing 🙂‍↕️

That’s about as long as I could run without stopping when I first started, fast forward 2 years and I can do a 5k without stopping, so give it a little bit and run 2-3 times a week, you’ll be golden!

Let’s gooooo. I’m not so sure if I can offer meaningful knowledge, but I’m gonna try. I think one of the main things that makes us humans dislike running (in the beginning) is the rapid change in heart rate. Going from resting to like 180-190BPM sucks donkey balls. I find it really easy tho to start off at a chill stroll and then—painstakingly slowly—I increase the speed til I’m straight up jogging. Never sprinting. It doesn’t suck at all and I’m now at the point I can casually go for 5-7miles.

This was me 2 summers ago. Now I run for 20 minutes 4 times a week! The best thing about running is you always get better the more you do it 🫡🫶 be proud of yourself and keep going!

Just remember distance runners never go anywhere near their max speed. Rule of thumb that helped me, start at a pace that feels leisurely and even good and maintain that rythm

You don't have to run everyday to see results, what helped me the most was running for time and not distance and going at a pace that I could consistently run at even if it looked like I was walking lol

No just twice every week, mixed in with either sprints or basketball twice more a week. I lost a considerable amount of weight which helped too.
