I say this as someone with a degree in kinesiology and is a registered personal trainer. The ratio of your upper leg size to your lower leg size is a textbook sign of muscle weakness and underdevelopment. I am not trying to be rude or put you down, but this is objectively not healthy, and you were in a much healthier spot previously. Skinny does not equal healthy when skinny goes beyond a healthy body composition. This body type is at severe risk as you age of immobility.
Wow I didn’t know you were a doctor/registered dietitian or otherwise qualified to diagnose eating disorders! I also didn’t know we can diagnose based on a singular photo posted on an anonymous app without any context! With that being said it does seem a bit concerning and might not be healthy.
Literally me too 😭 and it’s so crazy coming out of it. Even if you’re aware of the effects of ED, you’ll be shocked to look back at pictures of yourself once you get better. I thought I was on the verge of dying of obesity at the time but the pictures show a scared, frail, little girl screaming for help
Of course no problem. And yeah, this body type and the overall infection of eating disorders among women and girls is dangerous. Women are already physically weaker than men and far more likely to develop severe muscle and bone weaknesses as they age. This is not helping at all, and is the classic body type of a person who is in assisted living by the time they’re 70 because they lack the quad strength to get off of the toilet.
My clients are normal everyday people who want to get in better shape, either by gaining muscle or losing fat. So yes, when my entire job revolves around helping people achieve changes to their bodies and body composition, I may be qualified to tell what an unhealthy body composition is. I have had several clients start at a similar body composition to her and gave me glowing reviews when I got them out of that. You have no clue what you’re talking about, so kindly, stfu.
