As someone new to gym, do I just keep doing back days even if I can’t feel it at all and it’s mostly my arm doing the work?

Generally speaking, back exercises are pulling movements. So like pull-ups or where you’re pulling the weight toward you. Think about pulling your elbows behind you/down rather than flexing your biceps. Start trying to get close to failure.

you may be doing the exercises wrong if you can’t feel it in your back.

I’ve heard that people usually don’t feel it when they just started the back and chest, because there aren’t much muscles there

having small muscles doesn’t make it so you feel it less, but if your back is significantly weaker than your arms you may be doing the exercises wrong and using your arms to compensate for your weak back. try lowering the weight and focusing on proper form

My chest was super weak and I tried benching with 20lb dumbbells starting out. Once I moved to 12lb it felt like my chest was engaged much more so I agree with #3
