Thoughts on hack squat as a replacement for leg press? I currently do 3 sets of leg press 7-12 reps; the only reason I’m hesitant to do hack squat instead is bc I already do front squats for my strength focused lift and feel like it might be redundant
i say do hacksquat and try it out see if you like the stretch more

The leg press is just as redundant as the hack squat

Hack squats are better than leg press. Advantage is that you only use the big muscles and aren’t limited by the diddlyshit stabilization muscles like you are with squats. Downside is you don’t develop those stabilization muscles.

IMO front squat is not as stable, require u to work your stabilizers more. Leg press and hack more stable. Easier to push to failure
