True gymbros/bodybuilders don’t care if new people come into the gym for New Years. Instead we should be excited that our community will grow even larger and many people will change their lives! Choose kindness instead of judgement this new year! 🫶

100% agree we all start somewhere and it s not like we all knew how to do everything correctly off rip. Sure it’s gonna be annoying waiting for equipment but you just gotta work around it since it’s inevitable and not make people wanna quit

I love seeing the new people! And then some ppl finally use it as motivation to stay consistent. I didn’t let that new year fear stop me from going I just got tired of working out in my house and thought I needed some more heavy machinery

I love seeing new people in the gym! I just hate when it’s the old dudes hogging like 3 or 4 machines at once

Honestly who tf cares lol, I’m not paying attention to anyone in the gym but myself so it doesn’t really matter whether new people join or not. As long as they aren’t hogging a machine I’m tryna use.

As an exercise scientist, I get the fear and anxiety however it really doesn’t have any effect on your muscle growth by waiting. Plan ahead and look up alternatives to do while waiting!

No I know I’m just busy and usually can’t fit as many exercises in since I go between classes. It’s not a fear/anxiety thing.

That’s fair as well! I would honestly recommend writing down main lifts (more popular machines) and write down dumbbell/barbell alternatives!

Bro, this is a post spreading positivity and encouraging the inclusivity of new gym-goers. OP was giving helpful advice to a common annoyance

That sounds like some shit an exercise scientist would say. I appreciate the positivity though.

Bro it’s not fear and anxiety it’s time. We got shit to do and not much time to do it. It’s nothing else
