What are tips and tricks yall learned when learning how to do a proper pushup? I’m really struggling to even get my chest to the floor with modified ones

Work the supporting muscles, triceps and shoulders!

It just really takes time and practice. You really have to force yourself to do one and then get back up. Even if the form is completely off at first. A trainer once gave me advice to do cluster sets w pushups as your strength will skyrocket. It truly works fr

Practice with your hands on a chair or something first then slowly move lower to the floor

Beginning your pushups standing and doing them against a wall or a table or something like that is a great way to start! Working out is not about doing the hardest thing immediately, it's working your personal hypertrophy and getting stronger. If modified pushups are too difficult, do a variation you can do with good form. You got this!
