There's other reasons they can be prescribed like sleep apnea and a few other conditions. They're looking into applications like for patients w/ PCOS. Ppl also get more sketchy formulas from med spa's.

I work in healthcare, and honestly our pts will simply ask for it stating they just want to maintain their weight and understand insurance won’t cover the costs. If the pt is close enough with the provider, they’ll even offer a sample for the first month until they can find a way to cover their cost.
