as a pre-diabetic and a woman who struggles with multiple diseases i still feel embarrassed about using medicine to lose weight and get stronger. i still workout and diet like everyone else but i always feel like a fraud

Hey girl don’t feel that way as someone with PCOS sometimes we need extra help and that’s okay because you’re still doing your part of going to the gym. Don’t feel bad

Make sure you have good blood sugar levels before a workout because all diabetics(including pre) are at greater risk of hypoglycemia during and post workout. Some medicines also contribute to this during a workout so it’s good to consult a doctor/exercise physiologist about how your medications affect your exercise response specifically

the only people who are doing it “wrong” are the people who don’t have diabetes and are taking glp-1s anyway. hefty side effects and long term organ damage awaits them

im taking mounjaro. the doctor helping me supplies me with medicines that help me stay afloat! i just feel like a cheater cause of how the internet blew up when they learned about ozempic being a thing so anyone who used medicine is doing it “wrong”
