I haven’t been in the gym for a while because of an injury so I’m basically starting from scratch again. I don’t wanna get made fun of bc I’m already a small-ish girl so I’ve seriously been putting it off. Any advice/ encouragement?

Most gym bros try to actively avoid looking at women in the gym, it's more than likely nobody's gonna risk looking at you for more than a second let alone make fun of you

I’ve been going to the gym pretty much my whole life and I’ve literally never seen or heard of anyone making fun of another person in the gym

It could make you more comfortable starting out to go at a less busy time? Or picking machines areas with lower traffic in your gym? Maybe build back your confidence with just a small handful of exercises that you think you remember well or could practice with bodyweight at home?

Yeah thinking back, “made fun of” is such a strong way of putting it. Ig I just feel out of place, but I’m going anyway.

The only people I even notice are my gym acquaintances who I will cheer on a bit if I see them hitting heavy set. What strangers are doing doesn’t even register. Everyone in the gym is there to improve, where you are at in that journey doesn’t matter to anyone but you.
