Good luck with the headaches. The processed shit in protein drinks and protein bars are just as bad as the other additives in products you're avoiding. Not being a hater, just being brutally honest and realistic

Just curious as to why? Sugar isn’t inherently bad for you.

i’m gonna get whey isolate most likely unsweetened and use fruit as u said. i also knew of david’s bars but didn’t know they had no sugar so those are gonna be my best friend.

refined sugars are not inherently bad for you either. The only damage they can do is being hyper-palatable which leads to overeating.

🤷 I guess my mirror lies and all my research for years isn't true. I'll think twice about sharing my knowledge on a forum where people ask for people's opinion based on previous experience. Believe what makes you happy, but I believe what's real😎

i don’t plan on having that as my main source of protein lol…i only use protein drinks and bars for 10-15% of my protein intake

i already am going 100% organic whey protein and only david bars. i only eat them / have them every 2-3 days. i’ve always been against straight protein bars and shakes to sustain

You've not added anything to this discussion for anyone, you just ridiculed someone for reducing carbs without asking what point in their cycle they are. If someone were to cut carbs, they'd be cutting their short term energy source, using more fat for long term energy, and storing less water inside of their body. Meth isn't inherently bad for me if i'm only using it to cut as well.

i know but refined sugars hasn’t been good for me in general. they aren’t bad but personally for me they are for my goals.

Then you got it right on the money OP. Just remember the organic label doesn't mean that it's more healthy or less pesticides. I'm on the side of belief where you source all of your food in its natural source, you'll have great results. Fruit is a great way to regulate carbohydrate cravings because many fruits have a compound that satiates hunger, being a great tool to use in a cutting/leaning out period.

How am I upset? I explained the process of how sugar works in your body. I'm not passionate about arguing with #2 lmfao I'm passionate about health and how no one actually knows how to use nutrition😭We r on the gym forum for two diff reasons

I love the resistance #2. I was about 240lbs in hs as a 6' tall person, I was a very active athlete, but wasn't happy with the mirror. I lost the weight by working out and dieting incorrectly. I've been a collegiate athlete on a nationally recognized program for 3 years. I worked in a gym where I was a supplement salesperson, meaning I had to understand bodily function, muscle purpose, and what works to make things work better. + I've formally taken 4 years of collegiate level nutrition courses

I've been extremely injured and lost all of my progress in the middle of it all, making me drop to about 150, forcing myself to learn what it's like to go lean to strong

“love the resistance” weird ass thing to say lol. Since we’re sharing, I have a degree in kinesiology with a minor in nutrition, am a licensed personal trainer, and have been bodybuilding for 7 years now. I started at 5’11” 190 pounds fat, went down to 150, and am now a lean 200 pounds at around 11% bodyfat. Doesn’t sound too bad does it?

Where is this conversation going? You asked me my credit so I gave you it, but the point of me communicating on these forums is so that someone can derive some sort of knowledge from the words I say. I dont care what youve done in life because you've not provided construction/elaboration in THIS CONVERSATION why you believe the things you do. These things work for me, I explained scientifically how they work. I don't see anyone learning anything from this point. I stillencourage you to elaborate

Here’s the short version. Your body does not know the difference between a natural sugar and something like high fructose corn syrup. They are chemically identical. The demonization of sugar and “processed!” foods is straight up misinformation and harmful. I urge you to stop when you are talking about things that can genuinely affect the health of others when you have no clue what you’re talking about

You're saying if you took two men and only fed one of them high fructose corn syrup and fed the other equal parts sugar they'll look the same and have equal brain function? In health sciences, there are different mantras about the same thing, it's the same as bodybuilding vs powerlifting, I align homeopathic beliefs because I've seen the best results this way personally and through the world I live in. I appreciate you for telling me your mantra regarding processed carbohydrates
