Having visible abs does NOT always mean that you have a strong core, and it does NOT automatically make you an expert on training abs!!!!

On a side note about core training, do dragon flags. I can cable crunch the entire stack and hanging leg raise +15 lbs but I’ve been getting crazy soreness for the first time ever in my abs doing only 3x6 dragon flags and that’s bodyweight alone

For context, I saw a reel of this one girl going through/advocating her core circuit routine (consisting of body weight sit ups and dead bugs) and she illustrated that her “credentials” is her visible six pack. Abs are just like any other muscle group…just because my quads aren’t completely shredded doesn’t mean they aren’t strong.

I have defined abs and I’ve never hit core, I think engaging your core in all your exercises is enough to help make them defined outside of your eating habits

How do I know if I have a strong core then?

And on the flip side, having shredded quads doesn’t mean I have strong quads
