PPL or Upper/Lower is generally the best for a beginner. The major muscles you need to worry about are Chest (Mid and Upper), Lats, Midback/Traps, Delts (Front, Side, Back), Triceps, Biceps/Elbow Flexors, Abs, Quads, Hamstrings, Calves, Glutes, Adductors

I’ve heard people sometimes forget certain muscle groups and it causes injuries, and I’d like to Not Do That

Just a sample PPL split that will hit all of these: Push: Chest Fly, Incline Press, Tricep Pushdown, Lat Raise, Shoulder Press Pull: Pulldown, Neutral grip row, pronated grip row, rear delt fly, bicep curl Legs: Leg Extension, Squat variant, Hamstring Curl, SLDL, Calf Extension, Cable Crunch

You can modify this a lot as you get more advanced, but generally this is going to be all you need in terms of a split when you first start out. Covers all of your bases (this split doesn’t have dedicate glute work, and has it as an accessory to squats and SLDLs, so if you’re a woman there’s a good chance you’ll want some dedicated glute work here, or if you’re a guy who really wants some glute work)
