I love when my parents blame my problems on gym-related things. “I slept on my neck the wrong way “ -> you probably pushed too hard in the gym yesterday “I slept awful last night” -> you’re lifting too hard and it’s giving you restless leg syndrome

Are you Asian or Indian by chance? I can relate. Parents treat protein and exercise like the spawn of satan It’s the boogeyman that is responsible for anything that goes wrong

Right like I’ve already had to drop my lifting days from 5 days to 3-4 days. Not going is something that I will never think about.

I’m not actually! But yeah the second I pull out the protein powder my mom gives me an eye roll and when I dare say that I hit a PR, I hear “Okay, you need to be maintaining your lifts now, not going up in weight.” LIKE WHAYTTTTTTTTTTT
