Just as I was really starting to see gains in my running and being able to achieve these high mileages along w muscle gains I got really bad shin splits which turned out to be a stress reaction so my doctor told me I need to take time off :(((
Injuries always happen at the worst time. Definitely keep doing some low impact cardio and when you're healed up hopefully you'll be back to where you are in no time

Trueeee, good thing is that I’m cleared for swimming which is a BANGER cardio workout, so I’ll be able to keep being active (and doing upper body ofc) so these few weeks should go quickly 😎
