Does anyone have any beginner friendly gym advice? I’m overweight and want to start but I’m super lost. F20

Hey! Im f20 and started in january and i followed along a lot of influencers workouts and for being consistent even if u dont want to go just go and do cardio it makes a huge difference. planet fitness has free training so they can get u started on a good split too

If you don’t know what to do, just walk on a treadmill until you see something/think of something to do next. As long as you’re walking, your blood is flowing, your brain and muscles are getting fresh oxygen, you think better.

I’m 23F and started my fat loss journey march 2024! Currently 50 lbs down and here’s what I did: 1. Calorie count! Not too obsessive, but in a ~500 per week deficit and focused on protein. 2. Walking!! It’s super sustainable and doesn’t raise your appetite. 3. Resistance training! Nothing too crazy at first, just do YouTube videos at home if you’re self conscious about going to a gym. 4. Drink water and sleep 8 hours a night!!
