Your fat is literally meant for you to survive off for long periods of time. That’s why we have it. If you are having problems with low energy/dizziness then a lack of minerals and electrolytes is probably the reason. Yeah you shouldn’t go an extended amount of time without food but some people go 30+ days and they are not dying by the end.
I never said it was good for you, generally I wouldn’t recommend a deficit that low because it’s going to be hard to be getting all of the micronutrients you need, as well as meeting your healthy level of fats and adequate protein, but people should be aware that this “you need at least 1200 calories a day for organ function” is bullshit
And I understand what you’re saying, but I see the opposite problem all the time where people say that it’s dangerous to lose more than 1 pound a week and turn a 10 pound cut, which can be done in 4 weeks, into something that takes 10. If you are smart and fulfilling your nutrient profile, IT IS OKAY TO BE IN AN AGGRESSIVE DEFICIT. I would much rather be in an aggressive deficit for a few weeks than spend months just to lose a little bit of fat.
1. Yes, you can have zero calories a day. Obviously you can’t sustain that forever, but you can fast. 2. The metabolism slowing down thing is a myth. Your body can’t magically make your biological processes take less energy. Your heart pumping, brain activity, internal regulation, breathing, etc are all going to burn the same amount of calories. 3. Glucose is produced by the body in its absence, so you don’t need to consume it
Well obviously you can eat nothing for a day every now and then, fasting can be good for you, but I’m saying long term it’s not healthy to restrict too much. And it’s not a myth your metabolism increases when you eat. Look it up idk what to tell you. If you’re not eating your body doesn’t need to break down any food so not as much metabolism will occur because your body prefers glucose to breaking down fat it’s more efficient short-term
Your body not needing to digest food doesn’t mean your metabolism is slowed, it just means there is less activity to metabolize. That’s like saying your metabolism is slower on a day where you sit around than a day where you go on a run. Also, even if you aren’t burning calories through digestion, you’ll still net lower calories since you aren’t eating so that’s irrelevant lol.
