Is this a reference to the fact that is takes longer than 2 weeks to form the habit of gym going? Or about the lack of rest in those 2 weeks? I feel like there are many ways to interpret this lol

Bros either gonna get hella sick or his muscles gonna start being sore for weeks on end, shit sucks. TAKE YOUR REST DAYS. All the sweet sweet muscle gains come when ur body can repair itself.

People get rhabdo after training FOR MONTHS for marathons - you can get rhabdo after your 18th marathon for gods sake - muscle damage does not care how much you vary your workout, not giving yourself rest days WILL cause muscle damage and will not lead to increased gains - this is a known phenomenon

Obviously working out at any amount will increase your weight lifting ability, but you’re missing the bigger picture. It’s about long term health, consistency, and efficiency. None of which can be maintained if you work yourself into the ground.

Anecdotal personal experience is not the same as taking 30 people who are working out every day and 30 people taking one day a week off - and then seeing who gets rhabdo - the only way your anecdotal evidence would be worth anything is if you measured before and after, and then also had a control group- which you don’t because you’re a single person. Medical journals and the broader scientific community, including studies WITH CONTROL GROUPS strongly disagree w you 💀

If he’s working out 2 weeks nonstop he’s probably not working out at optimal intensity and will soon see a plateau in gains and/or some overuse injury.
