I’m convinced people who say they can’t hit their protein are either trying to get absurd amounts of it, or just are not trying very hard.

It’s more difficult when you’re cutting fs. My maintenance was so low to start w and I was eating gross chalky low cal whey protein bars just to get to 3/4ths of my goal. Bulking is light work

Very very few human beings need 200 grams of protein for optimal muscle growth

I see way too many kids who are 150 pounds soaking wet trying to eat 200 grams of protein every day. It’s ridiculous. Take your bodyweight, multiply by 0.73 (I do 0.8 to be safe) and that’s fine. It isn’t difficult to do.

That’s not what those studies conclude. They find that there’s no significant difference above 0.8 g per pound. No source is gonna tell you that above 1 g per pound is best for muscle growth

And I’m saying there’s a maximum amount of protein the body can effectively synthesize. So there’s a lot of values that work, but it’s far from accurate to say more protein = more protein synthesis. Anything above 0.8 g per pound would just be insurance in case you didn’t count right
