I don’t wanna ruin your day but the “usable” protein count is actually the %daily value divided by 2. I looked at those protein pancakes and they only have 28% DV so it’s actually 14g of protein that’ll actually be used to build muscle. Still decent. Do some research if you’re confused

The pancakes still have 22g of protein because that’s how much protein is actually in them. The 28% daily value is just a reference for how much protein you should get in a day, not a percentage of protein your body can use. Protein quality does matter, but that doesn’t mean you automatically cut the protein in half. There’s no scientific rule that says you divide the grams of protein by 2 to find how much builds muscle.

That’s not true though. Companies can tell you there’s x grams of protein but they don’t tell you how many grams are complete proteins with the 8 amino acids you want. You should look this up. Two foods with identical protein counts, say 20g can have completely different %DVs. If those 20 grams are comprised of complete proteins then the %DV will be 40%. Companies who put a label that advertise high protein counts are required to also list the %DV and they hope you don’t notice. Do research!!!!!
