Haven’t built up the courage to hit the gym yet, but finally started counting calories and have been in almost a 1000 calorie daily deficit for a few weeks & I’m 15 pounds down. Planning to start incorporating some cardio this week!

Great work, the gym isn’t as scary as it seems plus you can go when it’s a less busy time

1000 cal deficit is definitely too much

It’s not, it depends on the person and their goals, it’s losing 2 pounds a week for most people which is a bigger deficit but not extreme

I was 6’ 371, so my required calories for my body was 3300, I was eating anywhere between 2000-2300. Made sure to eat zero sugar drinks & lower calorie snacks but also put an emphasis on protein intake. I feel full most of day & eat healthier snacks to fill the gap between meals
