It’s time to start tracking calories. And stick to it. Nothing else is working. All that “listen to your body” advice is bullshit. So here it goes.
Stats: 185lbs 5’6”
Diet: 1600 calories/day
Cardio: 1 hour walk/day
Weight: 3x/week
I’ll try to post updates
No need for good luck on your journey, you’re gonna kill it!

No need to cut calories that hard. You could lose weight just fine at about 2000 cals. Remember, longevity is the goal so you want to make things easy on yourself

If her current metabolic baseline is >3000, 2000 would put her in a 1000 cal deficit, definitely losing fat at a significant rate!

I was basing that guess off of my 2800 baseline maintenance as a 175 lbs male… if she is 185 wouldn’t that imply a higher baseline?

Is she burning an extra 1000 cals a day from exercise or why tf would you ever assume a 5’6” female’s baseline calories are >3000???

I see what you were thinking! But yeah unfortunately life isn’t fair and women in general have much lower metabolisms then men :/ I appreciate your input though and thanks for trying to help :)

You’re 15 pounds heavier than me. My maintenance is over 3000 so if you’re as active as you claim, 2000 cals will be a deficit of at least 300 cals
