I know more about how electricity works than Thomas Edison. I know more about exercise physiology than Arnold. Neither of these are disrespectful statements, they are simply a representation of my privilege of living in an age where information is readily available. I don’t follow Arnold’s lifting advice, just like I don’t use Thomas Edison’s findings to power my house. Information evolves, and we can respect the old pioneers, while still acknowledging that their information is outdated.
