
Fun fact, stingers in wasps, bees, and ants are actually modified ovipositors (tube thingie bugs use to lay eggs)! That’s why only the females can sting! (Not the point of the joke ik but I love hymenopterans (hymenoptera is the taxonomic order ants bees and wasps fall under) and any chance to give a fun fact ab them is a chance I take)
Omg insects (specifically Hymenopterans) are my special interest. And let me tell you. I came to this comment section to state the fact about modified ovipositors, not even thinking anyone would have said it already. Never met another baddie who loves Hymenopterans like I do. People are usually freaked out.
