It's not an opinion... People need to learn wtf an opinion is. Your theory about ontology isn't an opinion, it's your belief of fact. It has nothing to do with feeling and emotion, it has to do with an actual worldly belief. A nature of fact. You saying "I don't think it's AI" is a claim to fact, not opinion. Your position can be proven right/wrong, therefore it's not opinion
I agree with both you and #10. I guess I’ve never sat down and thought about the direct comparison of opinion vs. belief of fact, but I have always intrinsically understood that an opinion cannot be proven right or wrong, only discussed. This was just a slip up in vocabulary in an effort to playfully show that I wasn’t certain on my own statement. However, I do think you could change your approach in dealing with this in the future.
Starting off with a statement followed by “…” gives off a tone of “I can’t believe they didn’t know this, how idiotic,” and immediately following that with “people need to learn wtf an opinion is,” is certainly a stronger opening. Yes, the rest of your explanation was helpful and calm, and again I want to thank you for helping me understand more clearly, but the opening is hard to overlook
It could also be discussed whether or not you bothering to go into so much detail over something so insignificant in this specific context is pretentious, also giving someone reason to take some degree of offense to your reply. I’m not saying whether that’s right or wrong, simply that it’s a possibility. I’m also not saying that I’m ungrateful, but my misspeaking of calling it an opinion when that was incorrect is not an issue that I would believe most people would even care to correct
