Wait till you own a home. You pay for an HOA so you don’t have neighbors with cars in there front lawn, doing dumb shit that lowers your own homes value. 90% of HOA’s are completely reasonable.

That’s just not how it works. Neighborhoods affect property values. No one wants to live next to a house with cars in their front lawn, unkept lawns, etc. HOA’s are literally associations of homeowners with unique policies. 90% are just people that want their neighborhood to stay nice and not turn into a shithole. Almost all HOA’s only care about bringing trash cans in, keeping lawn mowed, and not doing unreasonable stuff that affects others home value

Look at houses without HOA’s, and houses with HOA’s. You want to live in the HOA’s, unless you like living in the hood.

That’s why you have town codes. HOA don’t have much enforcement capabilities buddy. They write a citation and hope for the best
