The problem isn't the quality, though the quality is often poor. It's about the morality of it. Ai image generation (in its current state) being used for day to day, non important tasks like memes is detrimental to our planet. It's not about liking the content of the meme, it's about what went into making it

It has absolutely nothing to do with morality. People who bitch and whine about AI fail their own supposed“morals” by choice every day, engaging in a variety of environmentally destructive behaviors. In reality they’re just luddites being luddites. They hate new tech because it’s who they are.
