For those who didn’t know, these two languages (Chinese and Tibetan) are actually distant cousins! Chinese is written from a logography descending from the Oracle Bone Script. Tibetan is written with a syllabary descending from the Brahmi script, which itself descends from Egyptian Hieroglyphics. Our writing system (the Latin alphabet) came from Etruscan —> Greek —> Phoenician —> Egyptian Hieroglyphics, which means that our alphabet and the Tibetan alphabet are distantly related! Interesting!!
