By a million percent, yeah. I get the Kendrick experience when I read Langston Hughes. I don’t need it when I’m listening to music in my car. I love Kendrick, but he’s nowhere in my Top 10, much less Top 5. I’d put Common, Rakim, Biggie, Bone Thugs, Missy, Ma$e, Doom, MC Ren, Luda, Raekwon, Jay-Z all on my playlists over Kendrick
truly i agree. however, linguistically and lyrically it’s been super impressive. bringing her city with her & that culture, giving flowers to anyone who came before her… still got a lot of time to tell since she ain’t even got a real album project out yet but right now, i’m waiting on every next move she’s got to see if she’s a solid one for the game.
