Chat I have a genuine question— I’m a virgin but reading all these stories has me terrified, is sex really worse than they show in books/tv? I mean I know the first time is agonizing and the next few suck too but is sex really this bad?

Not at all, don’t get discouraged from a page solely dedicated to bad experiences. With the right people it can be so much fun and enjoyable

I was with my ex for 2 years. We had sex a lot. Then she cheated on me so I cheated on her more times I could count until we finally broke up. About two years later I met this girl who actually loved me and who I actually love and the sex is amazing. I didn’t know sex could be this good. So just make you’re into the person lowkey.

Not at all, sex is fun and should be enjoyed by BOTH PARTIES! It turns to a horror story when someone disrespects that aspect

sex should never be agonizing if it hurts really bad then something is wrong. it might be uncomfortable at first or take a little bit to get relaxed enough for it to work but if anyone tries to tell you it should be super painful they’re lying. sex can be very fun and intimate and wonderful but it can also be bad or disappointing especially if there is little to no communication or you guys have unrealistic expectations around sex

if both you and the person are with both are educated and respect each others boundaries, it will be fine

Hey buddy this is a forum called “hookup horror stories” where you hear the worst of the worst. Truly get some life experience, don’t expect it to go well all the time but don’t expect it to go all bad either. Just do the best you can do to not be someone else’s horror story 🫶 GOOD communication is key!

for example it will be much less painful with adequate foreplay because arousal helps your body prepare, plus fingering can help open the muscles and establish lubrication. sex should not be agonizing, even the first time, and if it is that may be a sign of a medical condition

using books, movies, porn, or this community to set your expectations for what sex is is a recipe for disaster. those are all mediums where the representations of sex is heavily skewed and tailored to serve a certain entertainment niche, NOT to be educational. talk to your friends, and sexual partners, or a community like girl talk etc about their experiences rather than trusting the literal worst experiences people have while having random sex with people they should’ve really avoided
