What is the time frame here with regard to the hookup itself? Without knowing that, I don’t think a UTI is the most likely explanation, as an open wound accounts for both the bleeding and the stinging, however it is difficult to rule it out completely. I’d monitor it for a few days and see if it improves at all, and definitely stay away from all types of penetration.
