If you’re female one of the things I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older (I am female) is to never be friends with guys. Sure, there are good ones out there that really just want to be friends and I’ve seen many women have successful platonic relationships with men, but in my experience EVERY guy friend I’ve had has wanted to hook up and shows their true colors at some point no matter how long we’ve been friends. Even non-blood paternal or family figures aren’t safe.
