Make sure you’re getting a full panel when tested for STDs. One of my friends just tested positive for HSV2 and has no idea how long he’s had it since he’s never had an outbreak and never before had gotten fully tested

my partner just gave me “mg” which i had NEVER heard of ? and it’s not on the typical tests !!

also make sure your panel includes hepatitis B! most of us were vaccinated as babies but as i learned the hard way, it can wear off over time (but you can request a booster)

Yes his comprehensive exam consisted of a blood and urine test. The blood test confirmed the antibodies

Damn that’s acc crazyy. I get tested pretty often and when I do I’d do both the urine and the blood but herpes isn’t typically included in that. I got tested a couple days ago and I asked about why they don’t test for it, the nurse said a lot of people have it in their system and it’s typically only a concern when you get a breakout, so there’s no point in testing for it, didn’t make much sense to me but I just said ok
