Fun history fact, between the 16th and 19th centuries pubic hair was seen as incredibly attractive and an absolute must of prostitutes. It was often associated with health and fertility, partially because syphilis can cause hair loss. It was common for sex-workers to shave to prevent pubic lice, and then wear pubic wigs for their clients. In Georgian era Britain (1700-1800ish) it became sort of a fetish culture, and some lovers would exchange pubic hair as a token.
