Psychical attraction is just as important as emotional attraction. It’s actually mean if you date someone u think is ugly bc u feel bad. Theres someone else who will think they’re beautiful but it doesn’t have to be u. Don’t make yourself feel something u don’t only hurts both of u fr
That’s so fascinating, ty for explaining, and I found the articles about the Rhesus factor incompatibility and the immunoglobulin shot! I was just confused because there’s a lot of misinformation about biochemistry and sex, such as men’s sperm leaving pieces of their DNA inside of women’s genomes, soul bonding, etc. that serve to slut shame or otherwise dominate women
I’m sorry, I hope I didn’t come off as dismissive :( I’m a biochemistry student myself, and I am a very vocal feminist. I fully agree that pregnancy is a serious medical condition, and women’s needs are frequently unmet or derided. I was scared YOU were doing that, creeping into “a woman’s body knows what it needs” sort of bioessentialism, like a “it rejects the wrong men” that’s why I got a bit defensive ❤️
Ahh okay! And yeah, it’s freaky how poor people’s understanding of reproduction is, it’s kind of all siloed as a “woman’s issue”, from conception to childcare… imagine how much safer and healthier pregnant people could be if everyone learned a little bit more about the process that created them. :(
That’s not what the male loneliness epidemic is, that’s the men’s mental health epidemic. Men are upset that women are staying single instead of catering to them anymore. Women are more independent than ever and men don’t want to change their mindset or behaviors. That’s why they’re lonely
There are two main aspects to the male loneliness epidemic, and they are what each of you are describing separately. There’s the side that is men being unable to find an intimate relationship and then there’s the other side that is men struggling to form and maintain friendships in today’s society. These are really separate issues and it’s sad they get lumped together so much.
It’s not that men can’t find a partner it’s that they don’t want to make the necessary changes to get a partner worth having. Men’s mental health has been an issue for years and it’s finally gaining traction. Men have more resources than ever but are too proud or scared to seek the help they need. It’s not that the system is failing them, it’s stubbornness and lack of self awareness
I think a lot of men are taking positive steps these days. A lot more are taking their health more seriously and fostering strong friendships - I’m seeing this in a lot of the different guy groups I’m part of. I agree there are more services out there than ever, though what a lot of men need is genuinely just a disciplined brotherhood and that can be hard to find and maintain.
