Former dollar tree worker here, when you come up to us with your $5 toothpaste and ask us to take it off because you thought it was $1.50 we have two options. Void it- we only get 10 a day and we get in trouble when we use them or We can rescan all your items or do a return at the end in which case we need to call a manager. people are dumb, no one uses them and they should.

Their whole business model used to be literally everything is a dollar. Now u go in and it’s everything a 1.25 and they have 3,5, and 7 dollar shelves. It’s egregious and idk why yall are acting like it’s fine. This is exactly how the $5 footlong disappeared!

Idk it seems like when there’s giant signs saying “everything $1.25”, people would typically expect their items to cost $1.25
