Honestly as someone who struggled with their weight in childhood it really messes you up. Plus a lot of parents will over feed then fat shame their kids which just leads to a fucked up mindset

No literally. So much of my insecurities now stem from being overweight as a child.

Yeah there should be some kind of service where case workers work with the parents. At the same time it’s not helpful to judge as an outsider because you don’t know if a kid is struggling with health issues that the parents are actually getting help for. Granted usually it is parental negligence but you just don’t know on an individual level

Parents can make healthier choices I agree, you have to factor in other aspects or characteristics on why obesity is a factor in that persons life
