Why? Does it just boil down to you thinking that some things really are just a joke? Bc personally I feel like there's usually something to be inferred about your true character from your sense of humor. The truth may be contrary to what you're literally saying in the joke, but it's almost never unrelated. For example, I don't think every guy who makes gay jokes is secretly closeted, but if not, then the freudian slip is just that they're homophobic. Point is there's almost always something.
