Salaries should be required to be in job postings Doesn’t have to be exact, but there should be a pay range always. Otherwise you’re wasting my time and the companies time.

straight up - like some sort of transparency law that requires *all* key details to be listed in some capacity. salary, healthcare, 401k matching, vacation time, etc.

I’m grateful there are a few states that require this. And for the jobs that do it. It’s just like including job requirements. I’m not going to apply for a job I’m clearly unqualified for. I also don’t want to waste time applying for jobs that don’t have a salary that can cover my basic living expenses.

absolutely. also i can't imagine having people walk away once they learn (wasting the time of all parties involved) is that much better than getting fewer applicants... like yeah maybe there are fewer but then they know they want the listed pay and perks and are likely more enthusiastically applying. idk. i don't have the numbers but it just seems like a net negative to withhold that info
